We went with my mom and dad, they are tango fans and the show moved them a lot. There are various options for dinner. I recommend it for a nice family experience.
El Viejo Almacén is a Tango show in San Telmo with a classic staging that pays homage to the most recognized artists of the time and maintains its traditional Tango style. This old colonial house, today a historic building in the city of Buenos Aires, had various uses before being the first tango show; it was hospital and customs among other uses. Currently, a traditional tango and Argentine folklore show is being presented.
Throughout the night you can enjoy a live show where the talent and enjoyment of the artists are clearly perceived since the space is small.
The dance group of El Viejo Almacen Tango Show stands out in its interpretations of stage tango, and in its duets it brings the sensuality of Tango on the increase. All of them dance to the beats of the notable quintet of musicians who perform the most important Tangos in the history of the genre.
On the other hand, the folkloric group shows their skills in a number that includes everything from handling boleadoras (a typical weapon from the Pampas) to traditional gaucho dances and also malambo.
At El Viejo Almacén, classic options are offered for dinner, such as empanadas criollas for starters and bife de chorizo with roasted potatoes for main courses, although it also includes several options in the three-course menu.
El Viejo Almacén Tango Show is a reference point for traditional Tango, which is danced with passion and sung with enthusiasm.
